nope.. switches / routers doesn't create packets/ frames .....they just forward / tweak parameters in it as needed for forwarding them

in lay sense.... switches / routers says

evvari pani valey cheyyali kada.......... hosts are intended for generating traffic.......... switches/routers are intended to forward/route the traffic ASAP...

think about once....... how traffic is generated.....what is the source of traffic generation...... ??/

learning MAC addresses should be a on-demand approach.....as hosts connect / dis-connect to network, its their responsibility to inform network switches / routers about their presence.

Ok Guys moving to next topic:

VLAN:

What is a LAN?
A LAN is a local area network and is defined as all devices in the same broadcast domain. If you remember, routers stop broadcasts, switches just forward them.

What is a VLAN?

a VLAN is a broadcast domain created by switches.

any one , who can explain more abt VLANs
