brother ... naaku last year H1 April 2nd week lo pick ayyi May 1sst week ki approved and got all the docs (premium)... appatlo nenu 3 schools maaranu (everytime SEVIS has to be updated by new school)... Naaku Oct1 na CPT cancel ayyindi... enti ani school ki call cheste nee SEVIS assalu ekkada poyindo naaku telvadu... may be H1 approved ayyindi kada so SEVIS might have been updated... why didnt you tell us that u have applied for H1 ani nannu dobbaru... Oct1 ki effective ayyi vuntundi ani cheppindi... and she was right... nenu inka USCIS ki call chesi cheppali emo ani anukunna appatlo...

 

 

ONLINE LO NEEKU VACHEDI EAC NUMBER ANTARU AKA RECEIPT NUMBER. THIS NUMBER IS USED TO GET A CAP-GAP I-20. SEVIS IS DIFFERENT FROM EAC NUMBER.

if you are on OPT  - Ur SEVIS will indiacte a start and end date for work authorization

if you are on CAP-GAP OPT - Ur SEVIS will indicate an extended end date for work authorization...(which does not mean ur case is picked in the lottery)

 

so the only way to know if your lottery is picked anedi by EAC number...

i have just called USCIS to double confirm this... but unfortunately my manager interrupted ... call chesi malli neeku update chesta...
