The Visakhapatnam is one of the most prominent places in the state of Andhra Pradesh and to name a few it boasts natural and scenic beauty with sea coast, Araku valley and Burra caves. Even though the city has domestic airport it doesn't have an international airport till now and the Eastern Naval Command stationed in Vizag which plays a very crucial role in India's security is coming in way of much deserving international airport to the city. The present airport is adjacent to Navy's INS Dega and the navy which objected to an international airport over security reasons has finally given its positive nod.
