India's Abhinav Bindra won gold at the 10m Air Rifle event in Glasgow, while his countryman Ravi Kumar, after leading through most of the event, finished fourth.

India so far have won nine medals in the ongoing Games, including three gold. They are currently fourth in the overall standings, behind leaders England, Australia and Scotland.

Abdullah Baki of Bangladesh won silver while Daniel Rivers of England won bronze. (Dravid, Bindra, Gopichand to Select Indian Olympic Medal Hopefuls for Future )

Bindra was impressive and remained in contention for a medal throughout. He finished with a total of 205.3 from 20 shots while Baki garnered 202.1 points and Rivers collected 182.4.
The 31-year-old Bindra had scripted history when he clinched the gold medal in his pet event - 10-metre men's air rifle - at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

This was Bindra's first gold at the CWG in 10m Air Rifle. He had however, won the pairs gold in Manchester (2002), Melbourne (2006) and in front of the home crowd in New Delhi fours years ago.India's Huidrom Sunibala wins her women's -70kg repechage contest in Judo Scotland's S Conway for bronze medal.

Bindra had said before the start of the Glasgow Game that CWG 2014 would be his last.
