phoenixrehabindia
ALCOHOL PROBLEM Needless to say, this results in morbidity alcohol. Alcohol-related problems account for over a fifth of hospital admissions, but are don't-recognized by primary care physicians. Alcohol abuse has been involved in over 20% of traumatic brain injury and 60% of all injuries that fall under emergency rooms. It has a not in proportion to high association with self-mutilation, sexual behavior at high risk of HIV contamination, tuberculosis, esophageal cancer, liver ill health and duodenal ulcer. Alcohol abuse sows a high social cost. A study of the state of Karnataka in South India estimates that the direct and indirect costs attributed monetizable-made people dependent on alcohol alone was more than three times the profits tax on alcohol and repeatedly more than the annual budget of the health of the state. All these morbidity studies are regional estimates, but given the ubiquity of dangerous consumer habits should be generalized across the country. However, there is insufficient recognition that alcohol abuse is a major public health problem in India.
