12 Crores for Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam Metro Rail?
CBN initiated the Metro Rail projects in Vijayawada and Vizag to not only improve connectivity but to also position them as Tier-1 Cities in the future. Alloting Rs. 5.63 Crores each for both the Cities will not even suffice to construct 6 pillars as per prevailing costs. Compare this to the metro rail project in Hyderabad being built at with the total outlay of Rs 20,000 Crores.
