Vijayawada Airport To Go Internationl

Andhra Pradesh government had roped in a private consultant to undertake a survey of in-bound and out-bound domestic passenger traffic from Gannavaram airport. After the survey, the state cabinet will clear the proposal to declare Gannavaram as an international airport and sent it to the Union civil aviation ministry for final clearance.Also efforts are on to assess international passenger and cargo capacity from the airport. 

Already the expansion works and creation of new facilities of the airport are on so as to make sure that it can handle international operations.
