my dear new parents in usa , 

first of all Congratulations to you !!!

I am a new parent , all is well and happies . what is the normal hospital baby delivery cost ? naku hospital bill (baby delivery hospital bill) vachindi , 

2-3 bills unnai separate ga ..1 st one is around $3000.00 , inka enni unnai ani na insurance login lo chuste, processing lo inko 2 unnai those are in my newborn name-same hospital..avi emo okati $1800 inkoti $1300.00 , so total roughly $6000 daka vastundi ani thinking..inka later emaina vaste teliyadu.

Is this normal?  new parents , friends  please advise.

Ne insurance plan ni batti untundi..whatever it is once delivered without any complications during the delivery u will have to pay entire out of pocket amount for the member. Bill may come in different amounts but total would add upto ur out of pocket. YOu many end up paying more if insurance doesn't cover some medications/scans etc Eg: Epidural is not covered in many insurance polices that would cost you about 2000$ off your pocket.

I used to have a cigna 70-30 insurance in CA. Inchuminchu ade range unde bro hospital bill, break chesthe room ki 2500, edo inkection ani 1800, more over 3 days NICU lo baby ni uncharu daniki oka 2500, doctor bill oka 1200 vachindi. 0 copay insurance ithe manam pedda kattam kani 70/30, 80/20 lo pay cheyyalsi vastundi...

my deductibles : 3000/6000 (3000 in network , per individual and 6000 out of network per indidual ani na thinking) 

family: 6000/12000 (same as above on in network/out of network but when will this apply?????)

coinsuranc e: 80% in network , 60% out network

 ani undi card lo.

Very normal...just nuvvu edina cover avaledu ani hospital bill pampiste..just call them and verify ..NEXT call insurance people and chek..sometimes they would miss sending the quote to insurance company and simply cover avaledu ani bill estaru..naku epidural bill alage aindi..i spoke with insurance guys  and they covered it. 

 

also neku payment options untai with hospital so u can take the that 0 interests

$6k is okay man...na wife almost 3 days in labour...billed $1300 per day..pain killers ani..avi ani ivani ...inka motha process complete ayyi intiki vachaesariki $8300 bill choopincharu...!!

 

but na insurance na kempany baring kabatti..covers family also...ended up payin $1100 from my pocket.
