Return2India Experience

Hi

I am sarumankabap. I wouldn't have posted here if it was not for so many threads on R2I here. Ok I recently returned to india after spending 6+ years in US. First the decision. Personal reason but mostly due to one single fact, even after spending 6 years Uncle Sam needs us to visit their consulate all the time for visa renewal(I am saying God please stop). This whole process of tying visa to job is so outdated. And you know the queue they have for GC. Anyhow I was unhappy for quite sometime.. I mean for almost 2 years for no apparent reason.. I kept telling myself you have good job nice salary why unhappy. To realize why you are unhappy is single most important factor in R2I process. Without this don't do R2I. You might be unhappy for a completely different reason. So figure that first.

Once you found the reason, figure out if R2I is the solution. For me it was unclear but I was 70% sure it was. So resigned (hadn't got job in India) and left. Thats it. Like ripping off bandage. Its like I don't give ###### anymore kinda thing. This is second step.

Now third step. Critical. Finding job in India in your home state. God this is so difficult mind you. You allocate all your mental, physical resources and don't ever loose heart. Please form a healthy friend circle, and just keep a low profile. I didn't inform anybody that i was back to india till i found job. But remember if you are talented i mean know your stuff, you will get job but work hard.

India has changed slightly for better. People don't honk that much now, you get pan card in a week, cleaner etc. etc. There is this 2012 or later grads.. these new kids are more matured than older uncles and office atmosphere is becoming more and more professional...

Single heartwarming difference here in India is, if there is a festival or an event, people come visit you(family or friends), all year round and you don't have to PLAN ANY F**KING trips with booking visa dates eternally till you get GC...

Good luck...

india lo antha baane untaaru. younger grads professional antaava? it depends on where you work, and for what kind of work you employ these younger grads.

Nenu India ki enduku vellanu ante, two reasons.

1. future water crisis.

2. upper caste arrogance ni bharinchatam kastam.

if India finds new water resources, and dalits kick upper caste ass in India, I will gladly move to India.

200yrs ki water undhi anukuntunnava? maybe mee hyd lo undemo.

chennai lo 50% of requirement ki kooda corporation is unable to provide. even when two large desalination plants are supplying water from the sea.

Indians are not sophisticated and  not rich enough to invest on technologies and process to conserve and reuse water.

I can't live happy in a city where I can take 2 baths a day and live like a king, while others around me fight for water.

I have seen enough when I was a kid. And no other city in India is worthy of moving into.

just check groundwater levels in your city. compare it with 10yrs ago.

So you think water problem undani vere countries ki paripothara.....

what is your assurance that particular place is safe and you have everything... reason okkati untadi cheppedi inkoti untadi...

your parents should have run away the moment you were born if water levels were low... 20-22 oche years daka water levels prob kaavu

Visa ochaka problem aipothundi

Classic reasoning asala....

I'm not my father. Nenu cheppina reason ae real one for me.

Another obvious reason is I moved because I can afford to. If I were to chose another country to move to, it would be Chile. And may be UK.

I'm done with India

Hmm.. So 10yrs lo same depth lo water padindi antav. Which city adhi?

Pakkana lake emanna undha?

Even chennai lo kooda konni areas lo 5m ki water paduthondi. That is the problem for me. That private people are allowed to extract water as they please, when half the city doesn't have enough water.
