Tom Brady, Joe Montana head top 10 quarterbacks in NFL history

Durability? Lmao. Brady is playing in the "protect the quarterback" era. Montana played where In an era where QBs were admired for hanging in the pocket until the last second to let the receiver get open and took full blasts from defensive linemen after releasing the ball. If Montana would have crumbled to the ground like Brady and Manning did to protect themselves he would have been laughed out of the locker room as a coward. Notice how many QBs are playing late into their careers? That is a product of rule changes period and not durability.

Really hate these lists. Different eras and different rules! How do you justify Brady at one? Championships? Bart Starr has 5. Records? I think Manning or Farve hold more than Brady. Why can't we agree they are all great quarterbacks. Do we really need to have try and single out a qb as the best?

Using the ring argument is nonsense anyway. Jim Plunkett has two. Brady won SBs by 3 points, 2 points and 3 points because Adam Vinatieri hit field goals at the end of each of those games. Jim Kelly doesn't have a ring because his kicker missed a field goal. The argument becomes if you have a great clutch kicker then you are a great QB.

Montana never cheated or was suspended by the commissioner and is undefeated in the Super Bowl. Brady is 4-2 in Super bowl and had the use spygate and deflate gate (AFC championship game) to his advantage, even under some of those Super Bowl wins he has. Troy Aikman said on fox that Joe Montana is best he's ever seen as well and he has 3 Super Bowl wins. I'd take his opinion since he's a proven winner this ridiculous article written. Whether it's Tom Brady or any quarterback, cheating disqualifies you of those victories when cheating was used. In the Olympic that happens all the time with illegal steroid use. Roger Goodell is just an incompetent commissioner from Ray Rice beating his wife to the Patriots not being stripped of those super bowl wins due to cheating.

No way on Brady being #1. Been more than one occassion where he was out and the Patriots never fell off at all (look at this year). Remember what happened to the Colts the year Manning never played. Three of Brady's Super Bowls wins can be attributed to defense. Never put up big numbers the first half of his career when the Patriots won three SB's. Montana #1 and Manning #2. Brady only gets te accolades because his TEAM won a number of Super Bowls so following that line, Bradshaw should be in here. Lucky to have been playing with Behlicek.

If Brady is your No.1 all-time choice, then you are bogus. Brady lost two Super Bowls to Eli Manning while, on one occasion, bringing an 18-0 team. Therefore, your choice SHOULD have been Eli Manning-1a, Tom Brady-1b, and Joe Montana-1c. How can you POSSIBLY put Brady ahead of Eli when Eli beat him in two Super Bowls? That's TOTALLY BOGUS.
