GMAT for MBA

MBA made more sense in the days corporate structure controlled everything, when hierarchy meant everything at the corporate level. It still might be the case for the most part, but in this digital age you don't have to necessarily be an outstanding people manager to climb up the corporate ladder even if your only aspiration is to stay in the corporate rat race.

In today's day and age, there's a chance for you to however be still successful and independent without being another rat in the corporate rat-race. And you don't have to be a corporate bitch to have a decent lifestyle.

The most overrated course out there is MBA. Useless if you don’t have H1 here. Even then you are mostly doing a high level Analyst job. Won’t help you with GC either as you have to go through same hell. In IT you are competing with other Indians. Your skill set is a little unique when compared to an MBA. The top MBAs here will crush you as they are born and brought up here and are ultra competitive in that field. Basically you are competing against the natives in their field.

Dont do MBA unless you get in top 20 Univ. the top 2 jobs that MBAs preferring are - product manager ( tech or cpg) and Strategy consultant. Even if you want to start your own business, you need to be able to read income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. You also need to know Sales, Marketing strategies, networking, and backing from VCs. There is specialization in MBA that covers all these areas. It is called "Entrepreneurship"
