Title: VP, Infrastructure Engineering
Location: Nashville, TN
Salary: $200k - $350k + Bonus

What You Will Be Doing

You will oversee the plan, design, and build activities of our organization's infrastructure projects. You will manage a team responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing all engineering activities of the infrastructure organization (on premises and in the public cloud environments), as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance business operations. You will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This includes oversight for our data networks, circuits, voice platforms, network security, servers, databases, middleware, storage, and backup solutions.

• Manage the project delivery efforts of a team of approximately 70-100 infrastructure engineers, inclusive of administrative staff oversight, team goal setting, performance reviews, staff augmentation, performance improvement and planning /directing all activities of the individuals in their charge.
• Responsible for the design and delivery projects supporting cloud strategy, including connectivity between services such as AWS, Azure, and Google; and on-premises data center.
• Accountable for managing an on-shore / off-shore team providing augmented resources for delivery efforts. Form a close working relationship with the off-shore team's Service Delivery Manager and own the service delivery provided by this partner.
• Establishes, plans and administers the overall policies and goals for infrastructure engineering services.
• Leverage skills, knowledge and expertise to provide suggestions, recommendations and improvements to existing technical platform solutions; leverage a variety of technical platforms/tools to provide functional and workable solutions; determine specifications, propose solutions, recommend plans and physically develop solutions that leverage technologies.
• Establishes operational strategies; ensures strategies are in line with the organization's goals including service quality initiatives. Manage the department with data and metric driven decisions.
• Manage a mix of long term projects and short term service requests with a high degree of flexibility and effective delegation.
• Collaborate with other department directors, company executives and key stakeholders to coordinate and align objectives and ensure technology meets the requirements of the users; work across the organization to create ad hoc solutions that address proposed and perceived business requirements.
• Provide insightful and credible technology advice that balances the functionality, costs and risks of the suggested technologies.
• Provide leadership to team by communicating vision, strategies and objectives to line management.
• Assist in the planning, preparation, development and successful execution of departmental budgets.
• Establish performance management and professional development as a priority and ensure that managers and staff are working together on development goals.

What You Need for this Position

Must Have

• Expertise in leading a large integration or big transformational change across organization
• Prior experience in a role focused on information technology and infrastructure engineering
• Staff management experience directing /guiding technical professionals
• Experienced with cloud architecture, Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred
• Expert-level technical and analytical skills required to diagnose, isolate and resolve problems
• Experience in guiding / directing technical network engineers in the successful development of market-leading application solutions
