According to Defence sources, HAL in a letter to Ministry of Defence (MoD) in 2012 mentioned the differences with Dassault pertaining to workshare.

In July 2014, HAL in a subsequent letter to MoD also highlighted one major unresolved issue regarding responsibility sharing between Dassault and HAL for license manufacture of aircraft. Besides, the man hours required for the manufacture of various components of the aircraft in HAL was also a point of disagreement between the two. "Due to all these reasons the proposals for 126 MMRCA could not progress further.

It was under his charge that Boeing secured the largest ever US-India defence deal for 10 C-17 Strategic lift aircraft, P-8I long range maritime reconnaissance planes for the Indian Navy and Harpoon missiles for the Indian armed forces.

Under Dr Vivek Lall, Reliance Industries has already entered the homeland security systems to make mega cities secure, and signed agreements with Raytheon and Siemens in the past six months.

This Relaince in the comment mentioned is under Mukesh Ambani...

Today we have 2 Relainaces one under Mukesh & other under Anil Ambani...

The deal in 2012 with Mukesh Ambani's Relaince didn't materialise in the later stages due to workshare disagreements...

Then in 2015.. Mr Bodi brought the failed Ambani brother Mr Anil ambani who is in losses in all sectors that he owns under Relaince umbrella and made him set up new sector Reliance Defence Ltd. And out of the blue,their 1st ever project/contract they got 40,000 crs #RafaelDeal contract...

The question is why force a foreign company go on a joint venture with fruad/failed company that was just set up just recently ? Who all are the benificiers here ?
