Advice for Folks who want to become DBA's

Hi Friends, 

just want to give my Advice on who are working as Application DBA's / Database DBA's. Please  learn coding language, long term lo DBA jobs undav annipisthundhi. 

Last 3 weeks 3 Client places lo almost same story ( aaaaaaiiiiiggg nj, uuuuuunum TN, TJmaxx MA )200 plus peope lay off's, Mostly andharru Infrastructure Admins. (Sap Basis/DB2 dBA's other BI application Admins/batch control team) All Gone. year end anni kanni budget cuts anni ganni emi kadhu, Full budgets unnayyi 

2 years nunchi Infrastruture  motham AWS ki moving project medha day and night work cheyyincharru, most of the regular application admin tasks anni automate chessaru code deployments, application restarts, patching, once all done, 80% mandhi ni lepparru. inka rest tasks ni project  offshore ki move chessaru. Managers (Desi non technical managers kuda who dont know s**T valukuda automate cheyyandhi anni sava koduthunarru)

BI area lone ma dannilo (10 plus tools unnayyi, IBM Informatica, Quickview and cognos, ...etc ) they want to reduce and use only 1 or 2 anni decide chessarru in the long run. 

Just my Advice anthe or suggestion.

Even i am planning to move to Coding, start cheyyalli inka very soon year end vasthundhi Advice on Python please, my profile 10 plus in ETL datastage experience.

Business Analyst , QA vatiki kuda rod padthundi future lo. Govt will surely soon bring a list of jobs applicable for speciality occupation. better to move to development and earn some years of experience.

Python okkate vaste em labham ledu . It is like learning a scripting language. I think full stack developer side will have better future.

true, going forward there  will not be demand for too many DBA's with AI based database tuning, oracle already implemented this in Oracle cloud, snowflake and other cloud databases have semi autonomous maintenance options

with so many options available on the cloud, companies no longer need to deploy servers on prem unless it is a must (very few applications)

past lo admin roles chesina vallu, can switch over to cloud admins and architects (jobs may be 10:2)

andaru coding cheyadaniki ready avutaaru..only few can excel

cloud Admins means, AWS Admin or Azure Admins ..? Admin side ki interest ledu bro, already no life here supporting round the clock and not spending time with family during weekends also, 9-5 job kossam choosthunna, development ki move ayithe atleast peace of mind untadhi
