There are two types of funds. Direct and Regular.

But regular funds in the same category. Direct funds are more expensive. But returns are best.

Regular funds are less expensive but returns are bad(there are lots of commissions involved) Don't ever buy regular MF's in India.

Direct vs Regular

regular are more costlier than direct funds.....and coming to returns both give same returns....only minus in regular is expense ratio is more

Not sure how you got that info.

https://www.moneycontrol.com/mutual-funds/nav/axis-bluechip-fund-regular-plan/MAA009 Regular plan costs 27 Rupee

https://www.moneycontrol.com/mutual-funds/nav/axis-bluechip-fund-direct-plan/MAA181 Direct plan costs 29 Rupee.

https://www.moneycontrol.com/mutualfundindia/ Check the returns from this.

Direct plan yields 17% Regular plan yields 15%.

Expense Ratio more means they have to come from some where. All the returns go in form of comissions. Direct plan no commission. So returns go to the investor.

Adhi NAV bhayya...you should consider only expense ratio and their portfolio while taking mutual funds.....always you should choose direct funds not regular funds....consider your returns on same day...Regular gave -0.51% and even direct kuda same returns...niku returns same vasthayi kaani regular lo they take more expense ratio....andhuke niku final calculations lo regular returns are less than direct funds...
