In 2017, the New York Times reported that during a night of heavy drinking, former Trump aide George Papadopoulos told Australian Diplomat Alexander Downer that Russia had "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. Now the Australian government is "ready to confirm" the meeting between Downer and Papadopoulos occurred, according to BuzzFeed News.
