I would say "sound" is even more important than picture. These days, projectors are coming with Short Throw and you would get a big picture from a close range (just a few inches). Even a great screen would look crappy with a poor quality projector.

You can simply project it on a white wall - there is no noticeable difference. I project it on a 16 foot wall.

A crappy screen will break soon. So there is no solution other than going for a reasonable quality one if you want to project outdoors. Elite screens are good.

Yeah even i own elite screen.. they are really good and have most reputation... bought a 120” projector screen for some $100 on amazon when it is on a deal... actual price is $350
