The Legislative Party meeting of YSRC took place on Saturday morning in Tadepalli and in this YS Jagan has been elected as YSRCLP leader. Botsa Satyanarayana has proposed Jagan's name for the leader of Legislative party while Dharmana Prasad and Buggana have strengthened it. A representation of newly elected YSRCP MLAs will meet Governor ESL Narasimhan later in the day in Hyderabad and submit the resolution of YSRCLP meeting.

Speaking after getting elected as YSRCLP, Jagan said, "In 2014 elections, we lost with just five lakh votes. In the last five years, we fought against Chandrababu and TDP atrocities and eventually I had to do 3600 kilometres of Padayatra. But this victory is not just mine and in fact it is every YSRCP leader's and workers who have tirelessly worked very hard."

Then Jagan mocked Chandrababu with a number logic that is absolutely coincidental. "With money and power, Chandrababu Naidu grabbed 23 YSRCP MLAs and 3 MPs. The people have taught him a lesson by restricting his party to 23 MLAs and 3 MPs on the very 23rd date. God and people are beside us and with this opportunity, we will try to do better governance," added Jagan.
