your statement is  very judgemental...

this bigg boss concept came from the book "1984" which is written in around 1949 by george orwell. I have read this book (half) in audible.

In this book also, there is television screen which called "Big brother" which monitors the people life and thought policing.

why this show is so popular , because this concept has some strong philosophical roots in 70 years back...

some see contestants (looks...)..some see the raw concept (psychology)...
