no one are forcing to learn Hindi or no one are forcing to move away from native languages and mother tongue languages..

Completely agree,

local languages need to be preserved and propagated.

 

Unfortunately not one South State has done anything to promote their languages,

Just changing name boards as symbolism does not promote a language. 

It needs a holistic approach and lot of money to implement it.

 

NOT ONE state does it but they cry that some one else is imposing Hindi.

 

This beautiful program was on DD long time back.

It will grow, if there is demand,

 

No one forced English, it grew organically because of demand. 

btw, English is one of the worst languages in terms of structure. Yet it is popular because of demand.

babu moshai, its not about just learning a new language. Its more than that. At first its just the language and then their movies, culture, books, religion and philosophy. Thats how English managed to surpass all other languages in Europe. At some point it was more like a language war in Europe. Now Hollywood Movies, English books, English Philosophers are more famous that others. BJP have a political plan attached to this move. As they are felt as aliens to the south indians coz they dont speak the same language. They want to break that barrier first. Nee lanti so called liberals get carried away easily.

people tend to learn languages with economic & social value.
