Bernie’s programs would cost 97.5 trillion.. the government surely doesn’t have room for that much considering the fact that it costs around 90 trillion to run the present set up.

C3aRog_W46C1aS_K9njp6WQLdZgECpJYmrSrwZd4i dont undertsand this logic. He said universal health care will be funded by our tax money (no private insurance and only health tax like in canada) and education programs from 1% tax on wall st, speculation and reducing military industrial funding. He is budgeting the already existing money

It is not just the Medicare for all which on its own will cost 30-40 trillion kada baa.. 16.5 trillion on climate change plan and govt job for all Americans with 15$ per hr- this is another 30 trillion. Once you say that you are going to raise taxes (15.3% to 27.2%) to fund this, you are putting a lot of people off.

duh!! its not the taxes that are the problem with Sanders. Its the movement that he'll back while he's in office. He'll support and pass legislations that will devastate US companies worth.  Rich people will line up to beg him to raise their taxes at that point. lol.

But to think of it, a lot of libertarians will vote for Trump, for the low taxes and lax regulations he'll bring, inspite of what he has turned the republican party into - a bunch of mouth breathing fascists.

likewise, a lot of people like me (if I had a vote) will vote for Sanders, inspite of the potential damage his presidency can do to our net worth because we can't stand the fascists.

Sanders is a decent and smart man. and if he refrains from pushing failed worker union model back into the system (most unions are anti immigrant), and focuses on pushing out conservative MMT clowns in his team - especially ones like stephanie kelton(of the Green New Deal), he should be fine.

Sanders does have a lot of fascist supporters, but he himself is not a fascist or a racist. And that's saying a lot in the current political climate.

spoken like a true conservative. None of these are a concern.

The real concern is democratization of the workplace (a double edged sword, especially in the modern economy), of the political system. and expansion of govt regulations into areas it has not much expertise.
