BJP objects 'Bheeshma' title

Sentiments over film's titles have common become these days. Mega hero Varun Tej's 'Gaaddalakonda Ganesh' underwent a forced title change a night before the release. The same scene is repeating yet again and this time it's hero Nithiin who is in the receiving end.

BJP's religious cell has raised objections over the title of 'Bheeshma.' Secretary T Chaitanya Krishna and principal secretary of the BJP cell demanded the producers of 'Bheeshma' to change the title immediately.

"Bheeshma in Mahabharat was a bachelor. Using his name and showing the protagonist in the movie as lover boy is an insult. This hurts the sentiment of Hindus," said the BJP leaders.

They warned that if the makers don't consider our proposal, we would stall the film's release and will also drag the producers to the court.

'Bheeshma' producers are yet to react on it.
