Lawrence ranked "most educated small city" in the country

Two Kansas cities rank among the most-educated small cities in the United States. A new study by the business insurance company, Advisorsmith, put Lawrence at the top of the list. Manhattan came in at number ten.

The study ranks cities based on the percentage of residents 25 and older with high school, college and graduate school degrees. Ithaca, New York came in second, Corvallis, Oregon third, and Ames and Iowa City rounded out the top five. All five cities are notably college towns.
