59 Tablighi Jamaat attendees quarantined in Indore

59 people in Indore have been identified who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event. They have no symptoms of Covid-19 for now and have been placed under quarantine, says Dr Praveen Jadia, Chief Medical Officer, Indore.

3 defence forces dedicate 19 hospitals for Covid-19

The three defence forces have dedicated 19 hospitals for Covid-19 treatment. The collective bed capacity of these hospitals, spread across the country, is 4,000 along with 200 Intensive Care Unit beds, say government sources.

738 Tablighi Jamaat attendees quarantined in Maharashtra, 7 test positive

1,225 people, who returned from Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi have been identified, 1,033 have been located. 738 people have been quarantined and out of them 7 have tested positive for coronavirus till now- 2 each from Pune, Ahmednagar and Pimpari Chinchwad and 1 from Sangli, says Maharashtra Health Dept.

Six new COVID-19 cases reported in Himachal Pradesh

Six new COVID-19 cases were reported on Friday in Uttarakhand. Out of these, five were reported in Dehradun and one in US Nagar. There are a total of 16 cases so far in Uttarakhand, 11 of which are in Dehradun. Two have recovered so far.

Reports said that 31 Tablighi Jamaat workers tested positive for COVID-19 in Rajasthan on Friday. A total of 538 workers who attended the Nizam-mudin Markaz congregation have been identified in 13 districts of the state.

Senior citizen couple discharged in Kerala

A couple in Kottayam, 93-year-old Thomas and 88-year-old Thresyamma, who were COVID-19 positive were discharged from Medical College Kottayam on Friday after they recovered.

1 more tests positive in Goa, total 7 cases

Quoting Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, news agency PTI reported that one more person has tested positive for Covid-19 in the state. This takes the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7, Rane reportedly said on Saturday. The latest patient is a resident of St Estevam village and has a travel history of abroad.

Odisha tests all 28 attendees at Nizabackn congregation

The Odisha government on Friday identified 28 people from the state who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi in March of this year. All 28 have been tested and only 3 tested positive. These patients hail from Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur.

Two more Covid-19 patients recover in Ladakh

Secretary of Health and Medical Education of Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel tweeted on Saturday morning that two more people who tested positive for Covid-19 in the union territory have recovered. These patients tested negative after undergoing treatment for the infection. As of April 4, a total of nine people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Ladakh have been treated.
