India's COVID-19 recovery rate at 67.19%

Of the total 19,08,255 confirmed corona virus cases, there are 5,86,244 active cases, according to the latest data by the health ministry. 

So far, 12,82,216 COVID-19 patients have been cured, taking India's recovery rate to 67.19 percent.

Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister tests COVID-19 positive

Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday said he has tested positive for the novel corona virus, and asked people who came in contact with him recently to get themselves tested as per norms.

"After symptoms of corona virus, I got tested on advice of doctors. I have tested positive for COVID-19. Those who came in contact with me in past few days are requested to follow government guidelines and quarantine themselves and get themselves tested," said Pathak.

Pakistan's toll due to corona virus crosses 6,000

Pakistan has reported 15 more deaths due to corona virus in the last 24 hours, taking its death toll to 6,014 while the total number of infections in the country stands at 281,136, the health ministry said on Wednesday.

The Ministry of National Health Services said a total of 675 new cases of corona virus were reported in the country. The total number of infected cases reached 281,136 after 675 new cases were detected while the death toll due to the infection has surged to 6,014, the ministry said in a statement.

India registers over 56,000 new cases, takes total to 19.6 lakh

India registers 56,282 new corona virus cases on Thursday, taking the total number of infections to 19,64,536. The toll rises by 904 to 40,699.

Over 6.6. lakh samples tested yesterday, says ICMR

As many as 6,64,949 samples were tested on Wednesday, says the Indian Council of Medical Research. The total number of COVID19 samples tested up to 5 August is 2,21,49,351.

India registers over 5.9 lakh actives cases, fatality rate to 2.07%

There are 5,95,501 active COVID-19 cases in the country presently which contribute 30.31 per cent of the total cases. The fatality rate has further dropped to 2.07 per cent, the data stated.

This is the eighth consecutive day that COVID-19 cases have increased by more than 50,000.

COVID-19 kills over 1,000 countrywide in 24 hours; over 62,000 new cases recorded

Over 62,000 fresh corona virus cases have been recorded in India in the last 24 hours. As per latest figures issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), a spike of 62,064 cases in the last 24 hours has taken India's overall recorded COVID-19 case tally to 22,15,075. Out of these cases 6,34,945 cases are active while 15,35,744 people have recovered after contracting the virus.
