I meant native Singaporeans leave to find jobs in the west unless they are born rich

Gift city eegalu tolukuntunnaru... I went to that place and saw it has been forcefully made as DR site for some stock and Commodity market based companies by passing some of guidelines just sake of promoting it..

Gandhinagar lo oka project . Modi tried to promote it as financial hub it didn't take off , so he gave land for IT companies . 

After becoming PM he made several concessions to make it suceed , it's still not that popular

Small , well planned  cities on government land are doing okay . You can't expect them to generate revenue like old cities .

Chandigarh, Jamshedpur are best examples of planned and built cities with an economy of its own..but it took three decades to be up and running without a push.

I don't see any need to build new cities from scratch..there is always a town in the vicinity which can be developed to better standards.
