This is an article in fox news today. Fox news will never publish an article like this unless they are really losing hope..

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cook-political-report-biden-victory

It's time to "sound the alarm" that Joe Biden is likely to be the next president of the United States, said Dave Wasserman, US House editor for Cook Political Report, on Tuesday.

Wasserman was one of the few political commentators who correctly forecasted President Trump's victory in 2016, writing in FiveThirtyEight two months before the last election that there is an "unusually high chance Donald Trump could win the Electoral College while losing the popular vote."

naa doubt please someone clarify president election depends on electors votes kadha, who are these electors, who choose them and every state has electors equaling to senates/representatives count and how these electors decide president candidate

if in a state Dem gets majority then all electors of that state will vote to Dem candidate , is this correct ?

No, people directly choose the president.

Congress is divided into two institutions: the House of Representatives and the Senate. The two houses of Congress have equal but unique roles in the federal government. Every state has an equal voice in the Senate( 2 senators per state), while representation in the House of Representatives is based on the size of each state's population.

members of the House are elected every two years, whereas senators are elected for six-year. Senators represent their entire states, but members of the House represent individual districts.

To your question, the same ballot can hold elections for senate, House of Representatives and any local body/city  or state elections- that means you can cast your vote for all of these on a common/single mailin ballot.

Here is the gist, biden or Trump evaddu President ayina neeku naaku change ayyedemi undadu e country lo. Ilage Trump President ayinappudu andarini gentestadu annnaru, em peekaledu. So, all we can do is eat popcorn and watch the results. At the end of the day, I am looking forward to see how the dynamics changes if there are historically high poll numbers, which way is the country going to swing anedi interesting to watch.

Sorry read your question incorrectly . Yes, total of 538 electoral votes in the Electoral College will select president and VP . Whoever takes 270 wins it all

  • 435 U.S. Representatives
  • 100 U.S. Senators
  • 3 members of the Electoral College Dist Columbia

my question is about these 538 electors, who are they, who selects them on what basis do they vote for a president

lets say if a state has won 2 REP senates, and 3 Rep, 4 DEM house reps. total electors for that state will be 9. Now these 9 electors will they all vote to Rep/Dem Presidential candidate.

there is electors pledge, faithless electors concept too, so I'm confused how this works
