Gopinath did not had the money but he knew the market, he knew how to cut down the costs, he knew how to operate an aircraft efficiently...Just by doing some basic changes in style of operations, he could cut costs by 40-50%...Bought the used fleets, flies during non peak hours, etc...ivanni India la introduce chesindi Gopinath ae

Well, scene venkala chala pedda story vundi..business competition, ticketing sabotage, politics, money and power and red tape valla Gopinath was forced to sell the airline..

What Gopinath did was nothing really exceptional, else where successful ayina models ni India lo recreate cheyadaniki chusindu...tasted success but there were bigger players and industry leaders...Gopinath was just a small time guy who could not afford to run the airline dominated by big fish and eventually he was forced to sell...

Was reading an old article from 2008 about inter globe... those guys blatantly stole the data from Air Deccan and migrated the passengers to indigo whenever they had IT failure 😕 . And Gopinath was scared to launch a criminal complaint because of his ignorance in IT.
I feel lack of proper delegation played a huge role here, if only they had good structure probably Air Deccan would be What indigo is today.

a maataki aah maata, that guy who started Air Deccan G.R. Gopinath is very inspiring , he must have faced a lot of hurdles back then. Movie lo edo chustam Kani, was wondering, it would be very hard to convince the corporate and the red Tapism throughout India, especially in early 2000s. 

I remember 2006-07 lo Rs1 ticket undey spicejet lo.. basically it was Rs1 fare +Rs 1499 taxes

Also, KF had the worst Human Resource management as well. Employees had so many woes, they never renewed their contracts, salaries kuda on time pay cheyakapovadam so employees strike cheyadam toh operations also became tardy

KF died bcoz of aviation sector, otherwise great brand

K the problem with mallya is he didn't know anything about aviation, he invested a lot in it, he instead hire g.r gopinath as md after air deccan deal, that would be much better..
