Urea is cheap and easy .  260 kg per bag

Manure costs us 800 per truck + 500 for labor + tractor costs .

Green manure takes atleast two months to grow leafs and fifteen more days to rot inside the fields and release nutrients .  Although the cost is low , time is a big constraint for farmers who take on lease .

Most of the indian farmers are small / marginal farmers who cannot afford manure simply due to cost . This is all done by design , Indian governments wants farmers to be small and weak and depend on handouts for season to season .

Sadhguru guy has no practical knowledge about agriculture in india , it's just economically infeasible to do it the right way , otherwise most of the farmers will use cow dung over urea .

Well it is not pointing to anyone or taking sides. Very well explained as to why things happen from a pragmatic perspective... appreciated and understood economic implications

thank you but the point is still we all agree whatever sadguru said is true right

Arey babu , agricultural scientists do slective breeding between two traditional varities and produce ones which have the best quality .  Wild indigenous varieties have extremely poor yield and used to take 8-10 months for one crop while producing the same quality of seeds .

Slective breeding is just using natural evolution and picking out the best varieties for our needs

Good info. Thanks bro.

Specific source antu ledu, it was created in a lab by scientists so GMO ani decided. I am not an expert on this subject, still learning.

You need to stop using GMO tag for slective breeding .

Slective breeding is completely natural , just accelerated .

GMO means taking the genes of another species and putting inside plants to produce a unique trait that is not natural to the plant variety .   India lo very small group of commercial crops have GMO varieties .

GMO rice would not be allowed in india for a long time , it is  extremely controversial

Calling @Assam_Bhayya

I'd say better start moving to jowar roti due to its low glycemic index, high protein & fiber content  and very less or no GMO.

At least in India after modi came to power the center asked the agri authorities to act strict on GMO jowar in 2017.

He may be a great philanthropist.. I am neither disputing nor attesting that. But he is not a spiritualist. Guru means spiritual teacher. Sishya is a spiritual student. Social service, philanthropy, politics etc. are not the interests of a spiritualist. It is very hard to find such people in these days. That's why we don't mind using these words cheaply.
