For folks who got gc,

Inform the Social Security Administration (SSA) that you are a permanent resident – The SSA will issue a new social security card for you with the same number, but without the restrictive work authorization language. Visit Social Security online for more information about reporting this change. If any of your dependents have not yet applied for Social Security numbers, all permanent residents and US citizens are eligible to apply for a Social Security Number regardless of age.
