Best is to ask him why he jumped ship. Lateral move ante something fishy. Is it a new technology role or something interesting?

nothing new...old CRM ke..back to his old days...

naaku monna promotion adigite soft skills penchuko annad director gadu..inka manager role ki apply cheste G to navvutadu..

why jumped - naaku telisi ..ma projects anni vere teams ki potunnai..memu qns adigina..manager boss was also not fighting for it...hands ettesadu anukunta

Because of recession, companies not pumping too much money into new projects, diff teams work kosam dogs laga fighting. Its a common scene everywhere. 

Chance dorkithe nuvvu kuda jump kottey ... Ask your manager if there is a role for you there....

Do apply for mgr position. Never ever let go of an opportunity. You never know. Vadu navvithe navvane. Atleast he will know you are serious abt promotion and just interview. Its a stepping stone for another opportunity down the lane. Atleast interview experience vastundi.

It could be 2 things.

1) he dint see any near career growth for himself

2) he dont believe the scope of project.

 

moving companies is different scenario. More money or level up or many other possibilities. Same company move antey mathram u should serious check whats going on. Ninnu mgr ni cheyyamani adugu

1 - he is not interested in promotion...chala sarlu cheppadu, and i can see it from his attitude from last 7 yrs of reporting.

2 - this is the main reason ani anukuntunna..

ivale inform chesadu, will ping him later tomorrow or so..

vadi place lo already Director aspirant okadu manager avutunnadu, and vadi place lo backfill untadi anta..
