Telling not to grow tobacco is one thing. 

 

Telling, "please grow Turmeric (for example) and we will guide you in each step of the way and provide incentives along with this amount per 100KG yield " is different.

Main problem is our market system is a cartel , farmers are never the beneficiaries .

You grow a fruit for six months like mango , at best you will get 40 r at the farm and the selling rate atleast will be 100 rupees in the market . 

No one wants to address this issue because middlemen have iron grip over politicians , beuracrats
