Caste never played a role in choosing my friends. I did not know how many castes are there until I passed 10th. Inter lo I found out what is domination and groupism in Vijayawada but I still had many good friends who weren’t in those groups. I had christian and hindu friends and lot of muslim neighbors. It wrecks my heart that I first felt alienated when I came to US. Desam kaani desam vacchi caste ani sacchipotarenduku? Asalu nenu vacchina India nunche vacchara veellu ane feeling vacchindi.

In BTech Guntur district I first faced caste alienation. US vachaka haven’t faced.

Fuses out.  Hyd lo evaru nannu caste enti ani adagale and i didnt knew caste groups even exist.

That’s the greatness of Telangana side, but now slowly drifting away from that culture.

They might have internal feeling flow luv for balyya cbn etc etc but personally for me and my wife we are so lucky to have vijaywada kamma , godavari Jilla kaapu friends,  it doesn't mean other fiedns are not helping and or not nice but may be generalization correct kaadu emo ani feeling

Caste may help you to meet a new person. It will not help to sustain the freindship or relationship. I never got along well with my own caste group. All my friends are outside my caste group.

Caste ani okati undhani thelisindhi ma village lo when my mamayya used to wear a particular attire along with tools daily  , so got to know about our occupation based on caste...but I faced it's ugly head in college student union elections...ran for its president and my presence in fact my caste was the basis of certain seniors and professors working against me...Naku fuselu out...they made it sure that I will be never given that opportunity...
