I worked for Toyota in the beginning of my career in LA, competition  talk enti ante they always have plans for the next 50 years ani. Hydrogen fuel paina chala concentrate chesindru leka pote fore front unde vallu, solid state battery lo prototype stage lo unna one of the few automakers. Vadu splid state battery teste migatavallu anta packup.

QA assurance and reliability lo no one can beat Toyota .

toyota partnered with tesla in 2010 to develop / support EV development ... they cut the partnership in 2017 , until that they didn't really concentrate on full EV vehicles ... this is one of the toyotas worst decision .... toyota bought 3% tesla stock for 50million and sold it for cheap ..... that now worth 30 to 40+ billion

Companies  cannot have stake in competitors after they gonpublic.Yahoo too had investment in Google and they had to sell off their share once Google went public.

they bet on hydrogen cell, they didn’t anticipate EV would take off so quick. Toyota Mirai(hydrogen cell) 2022 shattered records of sorts 785 miles on a single filling, they will need 3-5 years now to build the infra for hydrogen fuel stations but they lost the mind share to ev. that is Toyota, they have research arms on innovation in to far future, this is where their solid state battery will pay dividends, hope they can sustain Tesla onslaught until then. As a stop gap they are releasing ev+gas hybrid cars which got some rave reviews. Rav4 prime is a super hit, they are coming up with ev+fuel for other models like camry and highlander too. Their fuel and ev integration is marvelous engineerin, I saw it first hand in Rav4, once you lift the bonet there is a seamless integration of ev motor and internal combustion engine. In total the Rav4 has 3 electric motors and a 4 cylinder turbo charged engine.

Toyota took share in Tesla in 2010 and sold it in 2016 as they want to do their own ev research
