I support Nani , private industry can price all they want.

government should not be involved in business

Just like how they regulate Liquor prices, Govt must regulate entertainment price too, being the voice of the poor…. If not, what’s the point of govt?

about the issue what you said is correct, government should not involve.. it's purely business..

but, nani's comments are silly.. if audience pay less money for a new film they will be happy with it and spend that money on samosa or anything outside, they will not be insulted :D

govt regulate cheyyalsindhi ticket prices ni kaadhu.. market ni. but theatre market eppudo chey daati poyindhi.. its in the hands of a few. I think 3-4 producers have more than 50% of screens on permanent lease.

ikkada predatory pricing aey possible. ikkada market competition anedhi, price discovery anedhi antha oka pedda joke. So it doesn't really matter if Govt caps ticket prices, because that's the only thing they can do now.

huge ticket prices does allow the big distributors to fleece the audience of their money. you can move past it, by blaming the audience who chose to participate in and watch that crap movie, but govt cannot. Ideally it should come up with better ways to limit the market monopoly of the big players.

may be govt can look at disallowing market oligopoly in the theatre market by breaking the big distributors/exhibitor mafia. They can also allow movies to be screened in large screens in pubs, halls etc. I don't know how they can do it. But the simplest thing they can do is cap ticket prices. It creates enough domino effect that can regulate market perhaps. someone must do a paper on it.

since the world is unfair, should we care if its unfair to the movie stars? I personally want Jagan to drop the prices to 10rs if he can. lol. let the stars cry.

I think the real reason is Movie industry is established in Hyderabad, and every artist/technician is living in Hyderabad, who are generating additional income and taxes for Telangana.

What people is AP are getting is kobbari chippa(over hyped movies) with exorbitant ticket prices for common man.

If Jagan wants to regulate the movie tickets, what he should do is buy the movie rights himself then decide the price of the movie...

the market is rigged, duh!

govt doesn't have to buy the movie rights.. they can simply ban the movie from being screened.

anyway why is it big heros (not that nani is a big hero) are the ones who are crying about ticket prices, and not producers? lol. are these heros co-producing their films?

the movie industry is a fcuked up place. Its perfectly fine to destroy it and have something better come up in its place. But dont worry, the powers that be wont allow to destroy the film industry. because even if SandraBob got only 23 mlas, he has the institutional power behind him. The sick institutions that keep India poor and Indians needy.
