my take 

now buying houses is a trend(more people buying because of peer pressure), even though interest rate goes up......as long as supply is low(which will be, because of the global crisis), price will not come down that easy and there is inflation around the corner 

the longer you wait, more you are screwing up.......atleast now your monthly payment are lil low......but later you are paying top dollar at the highest interest..imo

Interest rates are already top man. They may go further higher too. Inflation will come down as interest rates climb up.

atleast as per observation, housing market is cooling down. Atleast in bay area. This home is in market for 20 days. There are 2 more homes in market for more 15 days in dublin/ca…. Seeing this trend after long time. Last 2 years max 1-2 weeks lo pending vellayi homes.

Whoever couldn’t buy a house in this market wants the housing market to crash so that they can finally buy a house… or laugh at people who bought at high prices.. 

whoever managed to buy a house already for low interest rates,  wants the market to further go up so that their home prices will go up too…

@Vaampire do you think getting funds from India is good idea now ? I have deposits, I am loosing $$ with conversion back to here, also day by day loosing money value sitting in indian bank.. I am thinking I rather Invest here..there is always issue investing in indian properties and getting back money. I would take loss now close to $10K.. any suggestions..

it dont matter who thinks what.....things will be visually evident in the next couple of months....

no, India lo sitting at FD's. plan to bring back money here.. not decided where to invest, but either buy home or stocks if hits recession..

unless people are losing jobs housing market wont go down . supply of new homes is still very low to meet demand .
