Apartment culture these days

These days many apartments lo nobody bothers what other person is doing or involve in any kinda social activities or getting to know their neighbors or participating in regular events.

If one is not bothered about having a social connection which comes by default through apartments, why do ppl still buy apartments instead of buying individual homes?

Atleast you can do whatever you want if you have a own home and land and even build a swimming pool, you cant do the same in your apartment.
