80K difference is too much.. and he might buy it at a higher interest rate too thus increasing the total cost of the loan compared to your loan…

Given the situation, would you lose 40K for nothing? Or risk the chance of hoping that the home prices don’t fall so much (like 80K) in few months.. I doubt builders will reduce the prices by 80K anytime soon…

Also you don’t have to tell your neighbors the price you paid for the home if that makes you feel sad about your home..

Bhayya nuvu ekkadooo vunnav. Mana own friends will look in zillow and compare and message us with pakkanodi rate. All friends group lo pedtaru. Pellam torture verey vuntundi, konakapotey nasa pedtaru kontey itla nasa vuntadi. Na mod…la paisal ra bhai poni antey pellam nasa daily

Job loss

job change

priced out with new rate

low deposit ( kb takes 5k so simply exit, some take 15k, some 100k)

some lenders backout by canceling rate lock

if the builder backs out on the last day citing some issue, will you agree? You can even sue the builder for breach of contract.. An agreement is there for a reason so that it binds all of the parties..

if you like the home, the price of the house (within the affordable range) doesn’t matter after you move in.. you won’t even think about it after few months… just make sure that the monthly mortgage is affordable with the increased interest rates..

builders also back out on prices after agreement. Antha thops emi kaadhu vallu.

Try re-negotiation but chance thakkuva in my opinion.

If the builder backsout, there must be some clause in the agreement that allows them to do that.. if not, they will be sued..

one builder backed out with a known guy in the very next day after he realized how hot the market is. The guy agreed for a 5k raise (builder asking for 10k) instead of all legal costs in fighting him.
