Monthly expenses: Rent: 35k + 3k maintenence Maid: 2k Groceries: 15k OTT + Mobile Monthly : 2k School Fees Monthly average: 10k * 2 = 20k (2 kids) Tutions: 10k for 2 kids 2 Bike Petrol: 1000 Rs Misc Shopping or buying house hold goods : 10 - 20k We dont eat outside food and stopped going to theatres to watch movies .. Total on an average : 1Lakh+ per month for family of 4 Rent i pay will be covered by the rental income from my 2 owned flats.. So 1lakh - 35k = 65k per month expenses Actually its not as expensive as few people project about living expenses in india.

Medical system in India is much better. We have the choice to go to anyone and usually take 2nd or 3rd opinion if wanted. Cost is a fraction of what it costs in India. Indian doctors diagnose issues much better compared to US. Where India can improve - Lab technicians and others involved in tests need to be trained properly and made accountable. Results are messed up (maybe contaminated) and tagged to a different person too often. These are not acceptable. Too much of greed in hospitals and they write unnecessary tests and write expensive medicines which may not be necessary. Finding the right doctor should do the trick. Take the feedback of friends & family.
