Bava movie review : Treat to comedy lovers & families

STORY IN BRIEF
---------------------------------

Veera babu (Siddharth) is a happy go lucky guy with a set of friends. Siddharth once comes across Varalakshmi (Pranitha) and he falls in love with her. Initially she does not reciprocate, but later accepts his love.

However there is a hitch here. She is the daughter of Ahuti Prasad whose sister, SIndhu Tholani, eloped with Ranjendra Prasad many years back and marries her.

Now Rajendra Prasad is Siddharth's father. Due to that elopement, Ahuti Prasad despises his sister's family and the rest of the story is whether Veera Babu would manage to win Varalakshmi's hand in the end.

ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE

Before the analysis is written it must be said that though the story is an old one, the comedy, locations etc keep the movie going and is likely to be a decent hit.

The movie has many good points and some bad points.

The main highlights of the movie are Ranjendra Prasad and Pranitha! These two carry the movie on their shoulders.

Pranitha is a treat to watch for. She suited perfectly in the Telugu traditional dresses and in fact she looked better than the 'Em Pillo Em Pillado' movie.She is sure to get many more roles after this movie.

Rajendra Prasad did justice to his role. It was a treat to watch the king of comedy after a long time. But one drawback is that in this movie, he has been used mostly for emotional scenes rather than the comedy that he is famous for.

Siddharth is okay. But he needs to change his mannerisms. His mannerisms are becoming very routine and he needs to change it every now and then to get going.

Samrat Reddy needs a special mention. He did justice to his role as a villain and is all set for a long career in Tollywood if he makes his moves right from now onwards.

Rest of the cast including Ahuti Prasad, Tanikella Bharani etc are just okay.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

The main highlight of the movie are the locations and the comedy. The locations were captured beautifully by Arvind Krishna.

Comedy is good. After many months, we are able to find good comedy which has the ability to evoke laughter.

The movie however falters on the emotional side. Some emotional scenes especially in the last half an hour do not evoke much laughter.

Dialogues are okay. Music is like slow poison. The more you hear the music, the more it appeals to you. The costumes are excellent especially for Pranitha. Editing was average.
