October 8, 20241 yr comment_1314280646 IAS or IPS equivalent will not be there. US States are way more independent than Indian states so central/federal postings are very less in state matters. For eg. IAS appointed by central posting has to deal with state cm's almost on daily basis, ala ikkada governor ki very less interaction with federal officials. Indian Foreign Service equivalent is Foreign Service Officers. Many of them we meet when we give visa interviews. Report
