The rich typically never leave India. Media circus tries to create panic among masses saying rich are leaving. They truly never do.

Bottom  level threshold to call yourself rich in India is having upwards of 50 crore property and cash flow of about 10 lakhs per month in your household. Then police listen to you, courts listen to you, you can flex power.

Even those that are worth 10 million or more wouldn't receive the same treatment in the US. Middle class Indians prefer the US system better, because it doesn't choke them as much. The tax rates are better, work environment is better. But most desis rank in the bottom of the barrel wrt social pecking order. Those that work on a visa are bonded labour with cuffs attached to their freedom while being a dispensable cog in the "hire to fire" schema of tech farms.

Poor are free in India. They are not worth much for the system in India individually, but collectively benefit from the system yet  they seldom have means to choose living in India or elsewhere. Not much choice for them.

Rich India leave chesthe 30-40 percent taxes samarpinchukovali kadha

I loved living in New Zealand. Especially the smaller towns where I lived - such less population, so much cleaner air - beautiful scenery.

America outside of cities is also very gorgeous. There are so many open wide spaces to live a healthy outdoorsy life.

India perhaps will be my last option. The only reason if I ever move is for emotional reasons. That may or may not happen.

As things stand today. US will be home for the rest of my life.

While it is a stereotype - most stereotypes have an element of truth to it. You are right - as a general observation. Smaller towns tend to be mostly White and insulated culturally. But all such places are not the same.

In my place the population is like 95% White - and there's a general store which is owned by an Indian. By and large the community is behind him - because he bought a dilapidated and closed old store about 15 years ago - put money into it and made it a  successful store largely supported by the local White community.

Maybe they’re nice to him cuz he’s a known figure I’m not sure if a middle class person would get as much support as this guy

Also small towns lo we have many uneducated whites with guns not a wise choice to live in those places tbh and it is not even safe for other white people who move from bigger cities
