The way ppl adjusted when they came here, similarly they will easily adjust after return. As usual it will take 6 months to a year. India has changed a lot except the nuisance part. You can easily avoid them.

India has changed correct ey kaani - Nothing has changed in the bureaucracy or government level, except for private sector. Corruption, Caste, Chinna/Peddha doesnt change sadly.

My observation in the last 3 visits.

Relatives lolli, US returnee anni full flight rinda money tho vachadu anukunaru. They think we get money without working hard.😓

Relatives kanna over involved people undaru mana life lo - You cannot even cut out toxic ppl out of your life if you are in india sadly.

Our parents generation are used to it - i hate to the core that you to smile and act normal with people that always are happy for your downfall or just there for your money.

My cousin moved from DFW to Vizag. He already had a paid off independent house in vizag and kids [7th grade and 3rd grade] adjusted fine. He sold his house in Plano during covid so doubled his investment.

One thing to note is even though he was in Dallas for 12 years, typical telugu ppl laga unde vadu. Kids ki only ABCD telugu [not even non telugu indians] friends, my cousin also only telugu friends. Always staying home, so it was not a big change for him/his wife/kids whether it was dfw or vizag. Anyways, point enti ante he is happy and kids will probably come back for college as they are US Citizens.

If you can get present job in India then bargain for best package. This will decide whether you can survive or not. Example, if you have 10 years real experience then around 30 L is what u can expect. If this workout then I don’t know about India but atleast Hyderabad, you will enjoy. Stay near office even if it cost you. Education, schools are at next level to teach kids standards depend on price. Water you can buy, summer but challenge. Servants many but costs depend on community. Food better cook at home or home cook. Weekends drives or resorts and chill.

people talk only negatives but there will be always pros and cons

One of my cousins moved back, they are well settled in India, so for him life is more luxurious there. He is helping father's business, farmhouse sittings in the evening and taking an international trip every 2 months to places like Bangkok, Russia and Dubai. He doesn't want to come back to US at any cost.

Other cousin didn't save much and doesn't have rich parents. He transferred his job to Chase Hyderabad and went back before Covid. He was making around 55L per annum, still he came back last year to US. Even though he got 3.5L per month after taxes, after 2 kids international school fees, car emi, maids and other expenses he wasn't saving much and he hated the office politics and kiss bosses ass culture there. So he came back.

Bottom line if you have 10 crores plus assets, a paid off home and no need to work them go back. Otherwise stay in the US.

Once your kids are 10 to 12 years of age the window closes, you have to wait until they move out to college but by that time you will be in your 50s..
