Su35 if made in India, could cut down the costs by half. As Su35 are air superiority fighters, Grippen can take the second role. They are proven as well. Rafael is a toast. With 80 odd Su-30 MKI's being upgraded to Super Sukhoi's and another 30 being added as replacements for lost frames, by 2035 we will have 200 plus fifth gen Super Sukhoi's...HAL Nashik is upgrading these at the rate of 10 per year...with the first super sukoi rolling out as early as 2028. Why will we go for F35-A ? Just because its stealth ? Quote
