Impact of the looming US government shutdown?
It seems very likely that Congress isn't going to agree to a budget on March 14. During the first Trump administration in 2018 there was a 35-day federal shutdown, the longest in US history. The S&P was down heavily during this time. This shutdown might be even longer, since the GOP may see it as a way to get feds to quit/cut funding to agencies, while Dems see it as the only leverage they have.
