Security forces on Wednesday detained more than 250 people from south Kashmir for questioning following the terror attack that took the lives of 26 tourists in Pahalgam.

Sources in the Jammu and Kashmir police said that 1,500+ overground workers and people who have records of being involved in terror activities and those with FIRs registered against them have been detained across Kashmir Valley

Terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba-linked (LeT) The Resistance Front (TRF) indiscriminately fired at tourists in Pahalgam’s Baisaran, killing 26 of them, including foreign nationals.

Also on Wednesday, southern Kashmir saw a rise in counter-terror operations since morning. Security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC in Uri Nala and have launched operations in Kulgam and Tangimarg to nab terrorists.

Defence sources speaking an intelligence assessment indicates the presence of 42 terror launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC), with around 110 to 130 militants currently stationed in them. Of these, 10 launchpads are located opposite sectors along Kashmir, while 32 are opposite the SPPR region.

Police also arrested two terror associates in Bandipora, recovering arms and ammunition

Tourism has begun creating new opportunities, finally allowing local communities to benefit—something they had missed out on for the past seven decades. But now, just as tourism is starting to bring about meaningful change, actions are being taken that threaten the very survival of the industry itself.

The locals should act, they have to come out and help the security services to search and find the culprits and everyone who have assisted these idiots knowingly or unknowingly…

most locals don't want to be part of India ,they want a seperate state ,they will definitely never help armed forces who have been harassing them.

Few people want to be part of India because they will get more opportunities but most of the common people don't want to be a part of India.

Ideally you should kill anyone who is not the same genetic identity or language and make it a country. Like how Hans did with China making it a homogeneous country with one genetic identity, one language, one custom and one political party.

Hmm han is a cultural identity more than genetic  but the diversity in China is much much less than india so it will work.

But you are right ,we need to kick out everyone who isn't telugu.
