Vizag has water problem which gets ignored by many people, when I lived in northern vizag, we used to get water once a day in the morning for 30 minutes. Imagine population size becomes as size of Hyderabad. 

Vizag depends on lakes which stores seasonal rainwater mainly like thatipudi and megjadrigadda reservoirs. Vizag cannot thrive without drinking water for larger population!

Cant the problem be solved by spending 10% of what is being spent on a village?

You knew what happened when hudhud hit vizag right? 

Amaravati had vast plain lands which can be used to urbanize unlike vizag. Vizag is beautiful and already industrial heavy city. Making it a capital would actually cause congestion just like hyderabad.

Flooding village?  dude a city is gonna built and it'll have drainage system. 

Only problem with amaravati is time. Vizag may give us another Hyderabad but not better than Hyderabad. If executed right, amaravati will be a better city.

We saw what happened in last year rains

Even parts Bezawada town was flooded

How long should ppl of Andhra wait?

Vizag has everything going for it to be capital

Amaravati at best can become half of Mysore nothing more
