Most of them took arm loans 5 year arm, 3 year arm.

soon mortgage rates will increase and they would be paying monthly $8K payment living in a house that would rent for $3k max

CA losses are huge because of high prices, person will never recover from CA real estate crash shock. Single income families will have ptsd from this shock entire life, they will never buy house in usa again

More pain in future, banks are tightening loans, most buyers are not qualified.

only few double income or cash buyers available at these high prices. But double income families can’t commute long distances. That leaves only few cash buyers, this will further tank market.

60 miles away from Bay Area, each mile costs so much pain for the owners

Technically, the prediction was that mortgages would reach around 5.25% (3.25% for a 10-year fixed-rate mortgage plus 200 basis points) by the peak housing season (summer of 25). However, this is delayed by a year due to the tariff, the tax bill, plus inflationary pressures and Fed won’t budge.

First-time homebuyers who purchased during the 2023-2025 period will likely be stuck if someone was looking for a quick flip. Unless really smart ones  convert these to rentals before selling and record the loss as a capital gain offset elsewhere. As for price appreciation, I highly doubt it..

Even interest rates go down to zero, no one going to buy these homes 65 miles from office. Wfh fueled these bidding wars now people regret.

medkaya mida talakaya vunna vadu evadu office ki 65 miles distance lo house tiskodu future lo
