Infact Considering the growing needs, Amaravati should consider buikding two airports. One for domestic and One for International. And better to build in 10k acres. Plus 500 acres for rental car facility, 500 acres to build temporary buikding and another 500 acres to build permanent buildings.Ā Quote

Current union government of India is confining international air traffic to Delhi & Mumbai, despite not having any official policy. This is despite the fact that Hyderabad and Banglore contribute to significant footfall.Ā What's the use of Amravathi Airport then? Except to take the boat load to Delhi and Mumbai. Few connections to ME may open up, but then again running an independent service may not be feasible as Hyderabad is working fine a hub for ME.Ā Quote

And then there is 1% of the population who will understand why Hyd airport could cough up 5000 acres.Ā India is building one of the largest greenfield airports in Asia which is set to cater about 20 million population in 3900 acres.
