Planning to make a move from north east to south. As of now I have zero Telugu circle and 2 aravams. Looking for decent desi families and nice schools. Also suggest build communities. Monthly should not cross 5k including taxes.

I am planning to go to each place and live there for 2-3 weeks and gather information.

I lived in Canada, I now live in Upstate NY. When in Canada,  I used to spend my winters (about 4 Months at a stretch) in Birmingham, AL and Destin, FL.  Hurricanes I haven't seen many. Some tornadoes come and go, it rarely effects the city itself. My younger brother lives there and he is there for over a decade now. He bought mortgage as well. The housing is decent. You spend 400k, you're likely to buy a big property for big city standards. I see desis and Telugus growing there year on year. New Telugu restaurants opening, remote guys moving there and buying mortgages. Try reading about Hoover, AL and try spending sometime there before you reach a conclusion..

Ittanti retirement homes kavalante saana vuntai US la....Take Greenville, SC... equidistant from Charlotte and Atlanta.

Area dependent. Salaried Indian workers general ga white population, better schooling unna areas lo untaru. Upper middle class and above neighbourhoods are good. Hoover, Vestavia Hills chala manchi areas. No crime. Nenu late night walks kooda chesevadini.

Hilly terrain because close to smokies, so beautiful views as well.

based on your criteria of 5K; none of those cities you mentioned will satisfy that.

Cost of living aspects in TX - high property taxes (atleast 2.5%), inflated prices, lot of inventory, show off, mental peace and lot of nuisance during gatherings.

Atlanta city is one side and people are moving farther north Buford, Dawsonville, holly springs, sugarhill etc....

Charlotte comparatively low cost of living, job market, less traffic, safer, and climate.

Greenville, SC is also good one. Slightly smaller than Birmingham, AL. I visited it once but haven't lived there.

I lived there for a couple of years. GE and BMW are the major employers. on the foothills of blue ridge mountains...and less thn 2 hrs drive from Gatlinburg. Very beautiful....lots of waterfalls, nature trails, hikes and campgrounds.

Depends on what you do an want?

Dallas/Austin is great for any new opportunities and businesses. Consider it like poor man's California

Destin is the ultimate retirement destination anna..it's a hidden gem...

Kids schooling gurinchi worry aythe i highly recommend baton rouge @jpismahatma

Good indian community, good schools...LSU is a big name state uni with very cheap fees for in-state residents..Properties also very cheap compared to Atlanta or texas.. New orlenas is 1 hr drive for parties, mardi gras etc...Houston is 4 hr drive and has extended desi community...nice beaches like pensacola and destin are also 4 hr drive..
